About that drum, it was a lot of fun to make it; in a workshop led by an Ojibwa drum-maker. The day started with a smudge ceremony and refreshments were provided. In addition to making the drums, we got interesting instruction about the drums, drumming etc.
The exciting news is that there is going to be another drum-making workshop, on May 7.
The day-long workshop, plus materials (and you end up with the drum) was $135 for a drum the size of mine. More if you want a bigger drum.
